Our European Distribution Center plays a vital role in our supply chain, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and handling of products. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to coordinate warehouse operations, drive process efficiency, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and supervise the daily work of warehouse specialists involved in receiving, put-away, and storage operations.
- Coordinate the inbound receiving process, including unloading shipments and verifying product quantities and quality.
- Ensure products are stored in accordance with the warehouse location management system.
- Monitor compliance with storage requirements, including FIFO/FEFO principles and temperature-controlled conditions where applicable.
- Allocate tasks among shift employees and monitor execution.
- Ensure the correct application of receiving labels and supporting documentation.
- Train and onboard new warehouse employees on receiving procedures, warehouse standards, and the safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Monitor the condition and proper functioning of warehouse equipment, including stackers, pallet trucks, and other handling equipment, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Participate in inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of stock records.
- Promote and enforce compliance with health, safety, and occupational safety regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to increasing warehouse efficiency.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
- At least 1 year of experience leading a team as a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Shift Lead.
- Practical experience in receiving, put-away, and storage processes.
- Good understanding of warehouse management principles and location-based storage systems.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment is an advantage.
- Valid forklift or warehouse equipment certification (Flurförderschein) is considered a plus.
- Fluent English or Russian, German language proficiency at B1 level or higher.
- Strong organizational skills, accountability, and the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
- Experience in quality control, process compliance, and team coordination.
