Job Summary The Senior Logistics Specialist – Europe is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and cost-effective execution of Circle K’s European fuel supply chain operations across multiple countries, terminals, carriers, and business units. This role plays a critical part in ensuring fuel availability, protecting customer uptime, driving transportation efficiency, and delivering end-to-end operational excellence within Circle K’s Global Fuels organization.
The successful candidate will operate in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment and will work cross-functionally with Supply, Planning, Execution, Logistics Optimization, Compliance, Trading, Business Units, external carrier partners, and terminal operators to ensure best-in-class service levels across the European network.
This role requires strong operational ownership, decision-making capability, analytical strength, and the ability to proactively manage supply chain disruptions, market volatility, arbitrage opportunities, and customer risk exposure. The Senior Logistics Specialist will also support continuous improvement initiatives, KPI delivery, compliance governance, and the evolution of Circle K’s end-to-end supply chain strategy.
The position functions within a team-oriented environment and plays a key role in delivering Circle K’s “Win in Fuel” strategy through operational excellence, customer focus, and continuous optimization.
Key Responsibilities Operational Execution & Customer Uptime
- Support the daily execution of fuel distribution operations across the European logistics network.
- Ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective fuel deliveries from terminals to retail locations and commercial customers.
- Monitor inventory levels, sales trends, terminal availability, and transportation constraints to proactively prevent runouts and minimize customer impact.
- Drive rapid response and escalation management during supply disruptions, terminal outages, geopolitical incidents, severe weather, and market volatility.
- Coordinate closely with internal execution teams and external carrier partners to maintain continuity of supply.
- Support after-hours and weekend operational coverage during critical supply chain events and emergencies.
Logistics Optimization & Cost Control
- Support transportation efficiency initiatives focused on reducing cost-to-serve while improving customer service levels.
- Execute logistics strategies aligned with Global Fuels objectives and regional business priorities.
- Leverage internal and external transportation fleets to maximize efficiency, flexibility, and service reliability.
- Identify and support arbitrage opportunities and optimization initiatives across the supply chain network.
- Ensure compliance with routing strategies, lifting instructions, scheduling priorities, and utilization targets.
KPI Performance & Reporting
- Monitor and report on key logistics performance indicators including:
- Runouts
- Loading compliance
- Dry runs
- Delivery performance
- Transportation costs
- Analyze operational trends and recommend corrective actions and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support the preparation of operational reviews and executive reporting for senior leadership.
- Ensure strong data integrity and execution discipline across dispatch and logistics systems.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between logistics, supply, trading, planning, accounting, business units, terminal operators, and carrier partners.
- Support end-to-end supply chain coordination across multiple stakeholders and countries.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment during operational disruptions or supply constraints.
