Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from drawings and specifications.
• Support the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
• Measure completed work and verify quantities for progress claims and payment applications.
• Assist in evaluating and processing subcontractor and supplier quotations, invoices, and payment certificates.
• Monitor project costs and help identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, variations, contracts, and project documentation.
• Assist in preparing variation orders, cost reports, and final accounts.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding commercial matters.
• Attend site visits to verify work progress and measurements when required.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, contractual requirements, and project specifications.
• Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties assigned by the Senior Quantity Surveyor or Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internships may also be considered.

Skills and Competencies

• Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracts.
• Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and quantity surveying software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and estimating software is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and organizational skills.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
