Joinery AutoCAD Draughtsman cum Document Controller

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed shop drawings for wood joinery items including doors, wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, vanities, wall panels, and custom woodwork.
• Develop cutting lists, material take-offs, and fabrication drawings based on approved designs and specifications.
• Coordinate daily with project engineers, production managers, carpentry workshop teams, and site installation teams to ensure drawings match actual fabrication requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with IFC drawings, project specifications, and UAE joinery standards.
• Manage and control all project documentation, including drawings, transmittals, RFIs, material submittals, approvals, and project correspondence.
• Maintain updated document registers, transmittal logs, revision history, and approval trackers.
• Ensure efficient submission and retrieval of documents to/from consultants, clients, and site teams.
• Organize and maintain both hard and soft copies of all project-related documents.
• Ensure document control procedures are followed across production and project teams.
• Assist in audit preparation, QA/QC documentation, and project handover files.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Technical Drafting.
• Minimum 2–5 years experience in a joinery/wood factory in the UAE (mandatory or highly preferred).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (essential requirement).
• Solid understanding of joinery materials, hardware, finishes, fabrication methods, and workshop processes.
• Experience in document control systems and project documentation procedures.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
