Clarification from the agency

United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation. US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than the host nation and possess a valid green card and US Social Security Number (SSN).

Duties

  • Assisting with clerical and administrative functions necessary for the operation of the center, to include record keeping, inventory of supplies, and recommending ordering of depleted or other necessary supplies.
  • Performing first level maintenance on all equipment to ensure that it is in operable condition. Identifying inoperable equipment and advising the supervisor of those needing higher level repair.
  • Assisting in the construction of sets and scenery for varying productions, procurement of supplies and materials needed, and the operation of light and sound systems for these productions. Performs other duties as assigned.

Conditions of employment

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position including a Child Care National Agency Check and Inquiries (CNACI).
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Must be able to work rotating shift, to include evenings, weekends, and MWR Special Events.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Prior experience participating in variety shows, bands and plays.
  • Prior experience in the construction of sets and scenery.
  • Prior experience with the operation of light and stage sound systems for the productions.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":

  • Possess at least one (1) year experience with construction of sets and scenery.
  • Possess at least one (1) year experience with lighting and stage sound systems. Applicant meeting the Best Qualifying Criteria/Highly Preferred will be referred to the hiring manager. All other qualified applicants will be referred if requested by the hiring manager.
