Founding Data Engineer | Full On-site Berlin | €90-120k Base | Critical Infrastructure Observability Layer

AI Futures are retained exclusively by a Berlin-based deep tech company building the observability layer for Europe's critical infrastructure. Their sensor nodes fuse radar, RF, cameras, and acoustics at the edge, giving operators real-time threat intelligence and strengthen resilience. My client are one of the most exciting hyperscalers today, raising €2million in AAA pre-seed, including mission-aligned renowned angel investors, with a London fund leading.

We have identified your profile as 1 of 22 who fit the search criteria for the Founding Engineer, working directly alongside the founders.

Backed by premier VC funds and angel investors, they're looking for a Founding Engineer to own the application and platform layer.

Responsibilities:

• Senior platform/DevOps/SRE engineer with substantial time in platform-focused roles and real backend depth.
• Has shipped multi-tenant or multi-instance SaaS-style products with a real operational dimension into customer-controlled environments.
• Comfortable across modern backend and modern frontend.
• Built operational dashboards or data visualization for Engineers and Operators.
• Deep Kubernetes experience including lightweight distribution.
• GitOps tooling in real production.
• Security-aware: mTLS, certificate lifecycle, secrets management.

Tech Stack:

Python, Go, Kubernetes (k3s/MicroK8s/Talos), GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), Prometheus/Grafana/Loki, mTLS.
