Marketplace Operations Specialist

To strengthen our Ecommerce team in Berlin, we are looking for a hands-on, curious and reliable full-time team member as an Ecommerce Marketplace Operations Specialist (m/f/d) . 

Your role

In this role, you will support our Ecommerce department in day-to-day operations and marketplace activities. The main focus will be Amazon, preferably within the Vendor Central environment. You will also help manage and improve our presence on other marketplaces such as OTTO, eBay and Kaufland. We are looking for an all-rounder who enjoys operational work, is not afraid to learn new systems and wants to grow within marketplace ecommerce. 

Your responsibilities

• Support the operational management of Rotho's ecommerce and marketplace activities, with a strong focus on Amazon.
• Work with Amazon Vendor Central, including product data, availability, purchase orders, cases, content updates and operational workflows.
• Support marketplace activities on platforms such as OTTO, eBay, Kaufland and other relevant channels.
• Maintain, check and improve product data, listings, images, pricing information and marketplace content through PletnyOne and Akeneo.
• Monitor stock availability, delivery status, product visibility and marketplace-related process steps.
• Handle operational requests, tickets and clarification cases with marketplaces, internal departments and external partners.
• Support the analysis of sales, performance and process data to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
• Help document, structure and continuously improve ecommerce processes.
• Support new marketplace projects, assortment updates and the implementation of optimization measures.

Your profile

• First professional experience in ecommerce, marketplace operations, marketplace management or a comparable operational role.
• Experience with Amazon is required; experience with Amazon Vendor Central is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of other marketplaces such as OTTO, eBay or Kaufland is a plus.
• SAP knowledge is an advantage, especially in operational work with articles, orders, master data or related processes.
• Strong organizational skills and a structured, careful and reliable working style.
• Confidence working with numbers and good skills in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Hands-on mentality and a willingness to take ownership of operational topics.
• Curiosity, flexibility and openness to learning new tools, systems, processes and marketplace requirements.
• Good communication skills in English and German.
• A team-oriented, solution-focused mindset and the ability to work across departments.
