As our Senior Fire Protection Engineer, you are the guardian of our infrastructure. Your mission is to architect and lead preventive fire protection (Vorbeugender Brandschutz) strategies for high-tech cleanrooms and industrial facilities. You will be the vital link between German statutory regulations and international excellence, ensuring that our growth in Dresden is as safe as it is rapid. 1. Master of Statutory Compliance: You serve as the primary technical authority for the Saxony Building Code (SächsBO) and the Industrial Building Directive (IndBauRL). You are the face of ESMC when collaborating with the Dresden Fire Department (Branddirektion) and local authorities. 2. Design & Strategy: You develop and review specialized fire protection concepts for Fab expansions and complex equipment installations (Hook-up), ensuring every square meter meets ASR A2.2 and TRGS 510/800 standards. 3. Technical Oversight: From fire alarms (DIN 14675) to sprinkler systems (DIN 14489/VdS), you oversee the technical integrity of our fire suppression and smoke extraction systems within sensitive cleanroom environments. 4. Explosion Protection: You take the lead on BetrSichV compliance, preparing explosion protection documents and conducting rigorous risk assessments for chemical and specialty gas storage (e.g., Silane, Hydrogen). 5. Global Alignment: You harmonize local German requirements with international insurance standards, specifically FM Global Data Sheets (7-7), NFPA 318, and SEMI S2. 6. Operational Leadership: You empower our on-site Emergency Response Team (ERT) through expert training and oversee high-risk activities like the Hot Work permit system. Job Qualifications You are a seasoned safety professional who thrives at the intersection of technical rigor and diplomatic communication.
1. Educational Background: A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection, Civil, Mechanical, or Safety Engineering. 2. Expertise: 5-8 years of experience in fire protection engineering, ideally within the semiconductor, chemical, or high-tech manufacturing industries in Germany. 3. Certified Authority: You are a certified Fire Protection Planner (Fachplaner für vorbeugenden Brandschutz) via EIPOS, VdS, or an equivalent body. 4. Standards Knowledge: You have a deep command of DIN/VdS and FM Global standards, with the ability to navigate complex architectural drawings and process flow diagrams. 5. Language Skills: German (C1) - Mandatory for legal reporting and liaison with German authorities; English (B2) - Essential for collaborating within our global engineering network; Mandarin: a welcome plus. 6. Mindset: You bring analytical rigor, resilience under pressure, and a leadership style built on integrity.
