IT Administrator – Network, Infrastructure & Project Lead

We are looking for a highly capable IT Administrator with deep hands-on expertise in networking, firewalls, Wi-Fi deployments, and infrastructure. You will be the go-to expert from the first client meeting through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deploy network infrastructure for new office setups from greenfield to go-live

Configure and manage firewalls: SonicWall, Fortinet FortiGate

Plan, deploy, and optimise enterprise Wi-Fi networks including site surveys, AP placement, controller configuration, and RF tuning

Deploy and administer managed switches, VLANs, routing protocols, and wireless networks

Install, configure, and administer Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 2025 environments

Lead SAN and physical server deployment projects (rack, stack, cable, configure)

Manage Hyper-V virtualisation environments and full VM lifecycle

Administer Microsoft 365 tenants, Exchange Online, Teams, and Azure AD / Entra ID

Engage with clients as a presales engineer — conduct site surveys, prepare Bills of Materials, and present solutions

Produce detailed project documentation, network topology diagrams, and handover packs

Drive AI productivity adoption across teams using Microsoft Copilot, Claude

Provide escalation-level troubleshooting across all network and system layers

Maintain security hardening standards, firmware update schedules, and change records

Technical Skills Required

Firewalls & Security:

SonicWall, Fortinet FortiGate, IPSec/SSL VPN, NAT, ACLs, IDS/IPS

Networking & Switching:

Cisco Catalyst/Meraki, FortiSwitch, VLANs (802.1Q), OSPF/BGP/EIGRP, STP/RSTP, LACP/Port-channel, DHCP, DNS, NTP

Wi-Fi Deployments:

Wireless site surveys, AP placement and mounting, RF planning and channel optimisation, Wi-Fi 6/6E (802.11ax), WPA3, captive portals, guest network segmentation, Cisco Meraki Wireless, Fortinet FortiAP, Ubiquiti UniFi, Aruba, wireless controller configuration, roaming (802.11r/k/v)

Servers & Operating Systems:

Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2025 (installation, configuration, roles and features), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP server roles, File and Print Services, IIS, Certificate Services (AD CS)

Storage & Backup:

SAN deployment (iSCSI/FC), NAS administration, RAID configuration, Dell PowerEdge/HPE ProLiant, Veeam backup and DR, Windows Server Backup

Virtualisation & Cloud:

Hyper-V, Failover Clustering, Live Migration, Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Exchange Online, Microsoft Intune/MDM, SharePoint Online

AI & Emerging Technologies:

Microsoft Copilot for M365, Claude

Experience & Qualifications Required:

5+ years in IT infrastructure and network administration

Proven end-to-end experience delivering greenfield office network and Wi-Fi projects

Hands-on Windows Server installation and administration across 2019, 2022, and 2025

Hands-on SAN and physical server deployment experience

Valid driving licence (client site visits required)

Strong documentation and client-facing communication skills

Preferred Certifications:

CCNA / CCNP (Cisco)

Microsoft MS-900 / AZ-900 / MD-102 / AZ-800 (Windows Server Hybrid Administrator)
