Description

Description AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and we are looking for Logistics Specialists to join our Data Center team.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

Key job responsibilities

  • Review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand
  • Handle incoming shipments, including unpacking boxes, performing checks and system updates to material tracking databases
  • Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers
  • Keep accurate records of material movements
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure that proper stock levels are maintained to support build and repair activities
  • Operate Return Merchandise Authorization process and receive replacements
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from various locations
  • Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company
  • Adhere to strict safety standards and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces
  • Frequent lifting of materials and products, placing items in storage, managing parts in shelving and pallet locations, extracting and moving parts form site specific areas.

A day in the life

Your day starts with a review of open tickets and priorities, making sure the right materials are in the right place to keep data center operations running smoothly. From there, you move between receiving incoming shipments, conducting inventory checks, and coordinating with internal teams to fulfill their hardware needs.

You work closely with external partners to plan and align on deliveries, keeping communication clear and timely. Accurate record-keeping and maintaining organized, safe workspaces are part of the daily rhythm.

But this role goes beyond the physical. You will contribute to improvement initiatives, help build smarter processes, and support automation and AI-driven solutions that make logistics operations faster and more reliable.

About The Team Diverse Experiences

Amazon values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply. If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.
